The Real Deal

Superheroes are real. This is what I now believe. And no. They do not have superpowers or fancy gadgets. All they have are a heart that cares and a great amount of courage. The Real Superheroes Project is to me a sensation, a promise of hope.

Fancy a world filled with colorful costumed people doing whatever they can to help their communities. In our everyday humdrum life we spend most of our lives looking out for ourselves, feeling within us a desire to do good yet we all are unable to step beyond our workstations and desks. In today's materialistic and complicated world, we have become mere bystanders living only to survive but not to exist.

The Real Life Superhero Project is intended as a responce to Man's inner urge for civic duty, aware that relying on the efficiency of authorities is not enough. They are here to help anyone in need, from doing crime watch to giving out food.

They may be clad in costumes and be mistaken as other-minded cosplay fanatics, but they are not.

They are real.

According to their website, the costumes are entirely meant as a symbol of their undying dedication. And it is also one that attracts others to do good, if not to inspire.

And don't they look so cool in their outfits?

As for me, I am inspired, though I am not wearing any tights or anything. I leave that to these professionals.

Good work, guys, and may there be more like you around the globe.
